1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how the Barrel Cream mobile application handles information when users browse dairy references, save items, prepare enquiry drafts, open retail source links or contact the business.
2. Information Users May Enter
Users may enter intended-use information, preferred pack or frequency details, handling questions and other notes in the request form. The app does not require account registration, passwords, date of birth, phone number, postal address, payment-card details, bank information or identity documents.
3. Information Collected Automatically
The app does not use analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs or a custom backend. It does not automatically identify users, create online profiles or transmit device identifiers to the business.
4. Local Storage
Android SharedPreferences is used to store favourites, request-tray quantities, recently viewed product identifiers, enquiry draft text and prepared-request history on the user's device. This local information is not automatically uploaded to a remote database.
The app's local SharedPreferences file is excluded from Android cloud backup. Android device-to-device transfer may transfer this local information when supported by the operating system.
5. Email Actions
When a user selects an email action, the app opens an installed external email application and prepares the recipient, subject and message body. The app does not send the email itself. The user may review, edit, cancel or send the message. Information is available to the recipient only after the user chooses to send it. The selected email provider handles the message under its own privacy terms.
6. Browser Actions and External Links
Retail price-source actions open an external browser application. The app does not embed or control retailer websites. A browser, retailer or other external service may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. Internet and Third-Party Services
The application does not declare the Android INTERNET permission and its core catalogue images are stored locally. It does not use Firebase, analytics services, advertising networks, authentication providers, cloud databases, remote configuration, payment processors, external image-loading libraries or custom network APIs. External email and browser applications may use internet access independently after the user opens them.
8. Permissions and Device Capabilities
The application does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, notification, Bluetooth, media-library or general storage permissions.
9. Data Sharing
The app does not automatically sell, rent or share local app data. User-entered enquiry information may be shared with the email recipient only when the user deliberately sends a message through an external application.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Favourites, request quantities and draft notes remain on the device until the user removes or changes them, clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. Prepared-request history is stored locally within the app. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data, subject to Android device-transfer behavior.
11. Security
Local application storage and Android platform protections are used, but no electronic storage or external communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid entering sensitive financial, identity or confidential information in an enquiry draft.
12. Children's Privacy
The app is a general dairy reference and enquiry tool. It does not offer account registration and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. User Choices
Users can browse without creating an account. They can remove favourites and request quantities, clear saved draft notes, choose not to open an external link, or cancel an email before it is sent.
14. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or data practices change. A revised effective date will be shown in the updated policy.
